Everything's Bigger in Texas: JetFuel x Kinder ‘Texas Bowl’ Tailgate Activation

PORTFOLIO > EVERYTHING'S BIGGER IN TEXAS: JETFUEL X KINDER ‘TEXAS BOWL’ TAILGATE ACTIVATION

Situation

JetFuel came to us in need of a customized, mobile food-service solution capable of handling fast-paced, high-volume sales at the Kinder’s Texas Bowl. This project centered on transforming a 40-foot shipping container into a fully functional, off-grid food operation with multiple service zones. The goal? Providing excited fans with the ultimate pregame experience.

The container was required to house two customer-facing showroom and sales areas, along with a central preparation space that met food safety and operational requirements. Operating under a tight timeline, the solution needed to balance speed, efficiency, and customization while supporting a service window with heavy customer traffic and high output demands.

Solution

BoxPop® delivered a streamlined, modular container build designed to maximize functionality within a constrained footprint. The BoxPop® 40′ container was divided into three distinct rooms, with two dedicated sales and showroom areas positioned on either end and a central prep room located in the middle. The prep space was equipped with an off-grid three-bay sink and hand sink, allowing the operation to function independently without reliance on external utilities.

To support efficient food service, the build incorporated warmers and serving tables optimized for high-volume brisket service. An upper deck add-on was also integrated, featuring a custom modular canopy solution that expanded usable space. This modular approach enabled Kinder’s team to execute quickly while still delivering a polished, high-performance solution tailored to the client’s needs.

Impact

The completed container supported a highly successful pregame tailgate operation throughout the night, serving brisket and additional menu items to a steady flow of customers. The multi-room layout improved customer flow and service speed, while the off-grid capabilities ensured seamless operation throughout the event.

Despite being engaged late in the project timeline, Britten delivered a solution that met operational demands, enhanced the customer experience, and directly contributed to a sold-out service window, demonstrating the effectiveness of a flexible, modular approach under tight deadlines.
