Created for adult music lovers in 2014, the three-day “sound voyage” known as KAABOO is billed as a new kind of entertainment and arts experience designed around comfort, hospitality, and good times. MGM Resorts, represented by global entertainment agency Octagon, reached out to BoxPop®/Britten for help delivering a luxury brand experience to festival fans.

The BoxPop® team designed a 10’ X 20’ customized shipping container with a rooftop patio, massage area, and comfortable seating for adult music lovers to escape, sip cocktails, and lounge. Team members traveled cross-country to deliver and setup the container that Octagon used to create a posh VIP area.

impact

Five years ago, KAABOO drew a capacity crowd of 10,000 to its two-day debut on the Island of Grand Cayman. In 2019, the three-day event reported sellout crowds of at least 35,000 fans every day. MGM VIP lounge attracted a nonstop flow of spectators, leading to numerous social media posts and photos.
